  • scientific series of FH Vorarlberg
  • scientific working papers of FH Vorarlberg
  • master's theses of students of FH Vorarlberg

  • 1.2. How do I publish my work here?

Please click on the publication link on the start page.
First you are requested to choose a document type. Right beneath that you can upload your document files. The maximum file size is 100 MB.
By checking the box "declaration of consent" you agree to the terms of use for Opus.
What follows now is the actual form. You have to fill in data about your publication here (so called metadata), which is used to describe your work in catalouges and other bibliographic directories. Describe the document you want to upload using the categories and fields on the publication form. Depending on the document type, some of these fields are mandatory and therefore have to be filled in. Please describe your document as clear as possible.
After you have finished the form, all data will be displayed once again. You can check your entries now, than make changes if necessary and save your document.
Metadata are checked by the repository management before putting the publication online. You will receive a notification about the approval by email. It is then no longer possible to change or delete the publication.
Detailed instructions for uploading scientific publications can be found here. Instructions for uploading master's theses can be found here.

Note: In oder to publish your work cookies have to be enabled in your web browser.

By checking the box "declaration of consent" you agree to the following legal aspects:

I have read and understood the Terms of Use for the repository of the library of Fachhochschule Vorarlberg GmbH, which I accept in full. I hereby provide my consent to the designated use. This also encompasses the irrevocable, non-exclusive and free right to store uploaded documents on the OPUS publication server of Fachhochschule Vorarlberg GmbH, as well as to publish such documents online and to process them for this purpose, to duplicate the documents as well as to convert them to other formats and disclose to third parties for publication and archive purposes and in order to maintain accessibility. I assure that no third-party rights are infringed by the provision of the documents.

If the document has already been published, you need to check whether and when the full text of your publication can be uploaded in Opus.
Subject to special conditions (e.g. embargo period, upload of the preprint version), publishers allow secondary publications in repositories. You can find information on this in your author's contract, on the publisher's website and on Sherpa Romeo.
The possibility of a subsequent publication of uploaded documents with a professional publisher must be clarified by the authors on a case-by-case basis. This procedure also applies to any possible later publication of master's theses.

If you choose a Creative Commons licence when uploading your full text, you grant third parties the corresponding rights depending on the selected licence.
There is no provision for the granting of Creative Commons licences for master’s theses.
