  • With the developed, mixed-integer-linear optimization model, a major contribution is made that the most important key figures of a PV storage system, such as the self-consumption rate raises up to 89 % and the degree of self-sufficiency by up to 73 %, are increased by variable marginal cost optimization with additional e-vehicle consumption. The stationary battery more than doubles the self-consumption rate of the PV energy generation to 71 %. The example scenario has a household load of 5 MWh per year and consists of a 5 kWp PV system, with a 5 kWh battery storage and the Tesla Model 3 e-car with an annual output of 16778 km. The program can easily be parameterized to other different system constellations and with its own input-time-series profiles of the household load, the PV generation and the use of the electric car. In addition to the calculation of the specific key figures, the respective influence of a system component, such as PV, battery and load, when varied on the key figures, is shown graphically. The results confirm previous research papers that the dimensioning of the system components should take place according to the simple formula 1: 1: 1: the stationary battery storage and the PV system should be same sized and their size in kWh should correspond to the annual load in MWh. In doing so, a good optimum of self-consumption, self-consumption share and degree of self-sufficiency with minimal energy costs is usually found and the electrical grid load through procurement and feed-in can be reduced.
